Competition Stella
Humanity has a constant hunger for exploration and fulfilling our curiosity. Previously we travelled across the oceans, into the seas and now, in the upcoming decade, we facing the very attainable possibility of space and planetary exploration. A reality that until recently would have only existed in our imagination.
Our latest jewellery design competition is created to celebrate these infinite possibilities in our universe and the magic that exists in the stars and the universe around us. The winning designs will form our latest collection, to be launched in mid 2021:
The Stella Collection
As always, the winning designers will receive the following:
- The winning jewellery collections will be manufactured and available for sale.
- Winners will get a royalty of 3% of the net sales of their design
- 7% of the net sales of the winning piece will be given as a contribution to the make-a-wish foundation.
- The collections will be available for sale at www.veekaycollections.com and www.eternalcarats.com.
- Winners will receive two of our signature universal bracelets.
- Winners will receive a certificate of recognition.

The aim of this competition is to create a jewellery design (sketch or CAD) that captures the magic and expanse of the universe around us. The challenge is to be creative and imaginative whilst following the material restrictions and rules outlined below. Get creative!
Competition Stages
The competition will consist of two stages:
Stage 1: The Preliminary Round
Participants will submit their designs by 17th January. The judging panel will then judge the pieces per the judging criteria. On 31st January, the judging panel will select five designs for the finals.
Stage 2: The Finals
The five finalist designs will be shared with the public for voting. The voting poll will be open for a period of 2 weeks until 14th February. The top-voted design will be selected as the winner.
Rules
The pieces can be bracelets, pendants or charms.
The pieces should connect to the theme of the universe, galaxies and stars surrounding us.
There is no limit to the number of submissions per contestant.
Material Restrictions
The aim is to create a piece that is striking, simplistic and accessible.
The manufacturing of the designs are limited to the following materials:
- Natural gemstones: diamonds (white, brown, yellow) and corundum (white, yellow, green, red, pink, blue)
- The diameter of the stones can have a range of 1.25 mm to 2.10 mm
- A maximum of 10 stones can be used per piece
- Gold or Silver
- A maximum of 2 grams of 18kt gold or sterling silver
Please note: if the submitted pieces are deemed excessive to the material restrictions they will not qualify for participation in the competition.
